About us

Basketball Adventure basketball camp is a place where basketball, education and fun come together. Our mission is to provide every child with a safe and stimulating environment for personal development through movement and the joy of playing under the hoop.
Basketball Adventure was founded under the leadership of the famous basketball player and NBA scout Danko Cvjetićanin in cooperation with the Basketball Club Novigrad and their coach Miroslav Nađa. This basketball camp is a meeting place for young basketball players not only from Croatia, but also from all over Europe. At the camp, our coaches use Slovenian, Italian and English in addition to Croatian.

Why Basketball Adventure basketball camp?

Proven basketball coaches, with developed basketball intelligence and instincts, are able to inspire and encourage the development of young basketball players. A specially prepared training program to develop and improve basketball skills, but also to encourage self-confidence that allows individual skills to be translated into teamwork and success. New friends and positive energy that will turn the moments spent at the camp into unforgettable memories.

All children need is a little help, a little hope and someone who believes in them.

About the camp

In 2025, the participants and staff of the camp will be accommodated in the tourist resort Valamar Tamaris Villas in comfortable and air-conditioned villas of a high category (4*), for 6 people. There is a possibility of providing accommodation for parents or possible accompanying students.

In addition to regular basketball training and activities, the emphasis of the camp will also be on the educational aspect. Expert lecturers will organize workshops and lectures on healthy nutrition for athletes, physical preparation, psychology in sports, as well as (co)living with modern technology and media literacy. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to participate in fun activities, including a trip to the Aquapark and other activities.

The modern, air-conditioned and spacious multi-purpose hall represents this camp at its best, offering the possibility of holding training sessions on three separate fields. Thanks to its underground construction, the hall always has a pleasant climate. Winner of the EU Miles Award.

The safety of our participants is our top priority. All coaches and staff are trained and dedicated to creating conditions where every participant feels safe. Our goal is to encourage team spirit and interaction among the players and to maximize the time spent on the field and in socializing.

Camp founders

Danko
Cvjetićanin

Legendary basketball player known for his superb shooting skills. Born in Zagreb, he played for the most successful generation of Cibona and the Croatian dream team at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.

Won two silver medals at the Olympic Games, in Seoul (1988) and Barcelona (1992) and two bronze medals at the World (1986 and 1994) and European Championships (1987 and 1993). Gold medalist at the Universiade in Zagreb where he was the top scorer in the final match against the USA.

Upon his arrival at Cibona, he and Dražen Petrović formed the best shooting duo in European basketball at the time. With Cibona, he won the European Championship in 1986. Champions Cup (today's Euroleague), and in 1987 the European Cup Winners' Cup. He also won two national cups and the first Croatian championship (1992), when he was Cibona's top scorer in the final series. He also played successfully in Spain for Estudiantes, then one of the four best clubs there, and in Italy for Reggio Emilia.

Miroslav

Miroslav Nađ is a coach at the Novigrad basketball club. For many years, he has been working with young basketball players, mostly between the ages of twelve and seventeen. In his work, he is distinguished by his dedication to detail and the proper development of social, human and moral qualities. This is precisely why he is popular with young people who appreciate such an approach.

He also works a lot on the individual development of young basketball players. Several now professional basketball players and several candidates for the national team have passed through his training sessions.

He is also known as a statistical analyst. He collaborates with the ABA League, which publishes his statistical curiosities and records he finds. In 2016, he assisted the then Croatian national team coach Aleksandar Petrović at the Rio Olympics by conducting individual analyses of individual opposing players.

Goran Bjedov

Head coach

Born in Zagreb, member of various youth national teams, as a junior the best scorer of the final tournament and champion of Croatia and Yugoslavia with the Cibona juniors. After a serious injury, he interrupted his playing career and dedicated himself to working with young people. He has been living and working as a coach in Italy for a long time. Lecturer at the Italian Basketball Federation. Known for his work with young people and systematic organization of the coaching profession. Winner of numerous medals with young teams in Croatia and Italy. After that, he moved to senior basketball where he gained experience working at the highest level from Eurocup and Euroleague to FIBA NT selections.
As a head assistant coach he worked at: Snaidero Udine, Benetton, Bayern, Panathinaikos, Fenerbahce, Virtus Bologna, Serbian National Team (FIBA NT), Chinese National Team (FIBA NT). As an assistant coach he won numerous trophies in Greece, Germany, Italy and Turkey and medals at FIBA competitions.
